Information and Communications Technology (ICT)

Information and Communications Technology is an important and exciting part of the curriculum at Hobsons Bay Primary School. Students use a variety of technologies such as computers, scanners, digital cameras, a data projector and printers to enhance their understanding of the program.

Computer skills are taught on weekly basis during ICT classes. Grades can access the Information Technology Centre at other times. Our purpose is to teach the children skills and terminology to enable them to use computers effectively as a learning tool.
All classrooms have access to computers, which are networked throughout the school. We also have access to a wireless internet network.

We continue to upgrade and expand our facilities on a regular basis. This year we have installed Interactive Whiteboards into classrooms, updated all classroom computers and purchased new digital cameras for every grade.
